On Tuesday we got reports that Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose received structural damage to his face at practice. In laymen’s terms Rose got his face broke after taking an elbow.
Because of Rose’s medical history when everybody saw the breaking news we all thought out for the year or he’s going to miss half of the season, but when you get over the intial shock of it being Rose that is injured you do some research points to last year’s masked man Russell Westbrook who had a similar injury after taking a knee to the head, had surgery and played the next day. Westbrook was in a heated playoff race and without his running mate Kevin Durant so you understand why he rushed back.
After realizing Rose didn’t hurt a knee or ankle we can come back to reality because he will only be out 2 weeks. I know we can insert a ton of jokes because of Rose’s injury history, but at the end of the day this injury shouldn’t affect him much in the season. Worst case scenario is he wears a mask all year like Richard “RIP” Hamilton did back in the day (research it if you don’t know).
Rose you got to pay your teammates to keep you clean man when you comeback no more taking elbows from teammates. If it happens you need “inserts body guards” to clean somebody up so they get the message.
