On Wednesday the Cincinnati Bearcats got a commitment from the No.2 ranked player in the state of Ohio in 2019 Xenia guard Samari Curtis. Curtis was previously committed to crosstown rival Xavier, but with Chris Mack bolting for the Louisville job he decided to reopen his recruitment and a few months later he decided to stay in Cincinnati, but this time with the red and black.
Curtis is listed at 6’4” and 180 pounds. After watching highlights of his game he is a guy who can shoot it and can be a playmaker. He has a smooth game and fits the mold of shooting guards that Mick Cronin has been recruiting lately. I put Curtis in the sneaky athletic department, but his ball handling, shooting and passing abilities will be something #BearcatNation will love.
This is a huge get for the Bearcats to be able to get a commitment from top talent in your home state is huge and showing the imprint this program has had lately.
