The Los Angeles Rams finally took care of the best defensive player in the NFL with a record deal. Defensive tackle Aaron Donald got a six-year $135 million deal with $87 million guaranteed.
This deal has been a long time coming for the All-Pro defensive tackle. Donald saw Todd Gurley and Brandin Cooks get deals before the Rams took care of their best player, but they got it done right before the 2018 regular season started.
Earlier in the week arguably the second best defensive tackle Geno Atkins got an extension so it only made sense for the Rams to back up the Brinks truck to their prized possession and end his holdout.
In his four years in the NFL he has made the Pro Bowl 4xs, All-Pro 3xs, Rookie Defensive Player of the Year and the Defensive Player of the Year.
