3. Canelo is the cash cow
Canelo is backed by Golden Boy Promotions and clearly is the A side to any fight that is booked right now unless he fights the “retired” Floyd Mayweather again. With Canelo being only 28 years of age he still is in his prime and Golden Boy will have many years to get top dollar for any of his fights. It doesn’t bode well for older fighters if they were for face the middleweight champion.
