Eric Reid has finally been signed by an NFL team. The Carolina Panthers signed Reid on Thursday, he has been one of the best safeties available all offseason and a team has finally caved.
He was a first round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. At only 26 years of age he is still at his prime and has experience at safety and linebacker. He was a pro bowler as a rookie, but is now known more kneeling with Colin Kaepernick and is a part of the collusion case against the NFL.
Nonetheless is great to see Reid get a shot in the NFL.
Congrats 2 my brother @e_reid35, all pro safety who should have been signed the 1st day of free agency, who has signed a football contract.
He was the 1ST person 2 kneel alongside me. Eric is a social justice warrior, continues to support his family. and communities in need. pic.twitter.com/TsZOaFycYT

Last season Reid had 67 tackles, four passes defensed and two interceptions. With Da’Norris Searcy placed on the injured reserve Reid will be in line for a lot of playing time.
