For the Browns it means they believe in 2nd round pick Nick Chubb, the rookie from Georgia has a similar running style to Hyde’s, but he is younger and cheaper. Honestly running back is a position of strength for the Browns and it was smart to get more assets for a player that might not be in the long term plans of the team even though he’s a valuable piece.
They also want to get Duke Johnson on the field more, who is a swizz army knife type of running back who is known more for his passing catching abilities. It wouldn’t be hard to argue after Jarvis Landry that Johnson is their best receiver.
