Cincinnati Bearcats forward Gary Clark went undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft, but was able to land a two-way deal with the Houston Rockets over the summer. With strong play during the preseason Clark was able to stay on the active roster and max out his days in the NBA to force the Rockets to make a decision weather to keep him or send him back to the G-League. As many expected Clark was signed to stay in the NBA, but the surprise might be the length. He was able to get a three year deal fully guaranteeing the rest of this season and half guaranteeing next season with incentives to fully guarantee it and the final season has lock in date they can release without playing. That’s a hell of a win for a guy that was undrafted and if anybody deserves it, it is non other than Gary Clark.
In 21 games he is averaging 3.4 points, 2.9 rebounds and .8 blocks in 17 minutes of action.
Sources on @TheAthleticNBA @WatchStadium: The Houston Rockets and two-way player Gary Clark have agreed to a three-year NBA contract. Clark has emerged as a key rotation player for the Rockets.
