First, I want to say props to DeAndre Hopkins for donating his game check wildcard weekend to the family of slain 7 year old Jazmine Barnes. Barnes was recently killed in a drive-by shooting in Houston, Texas. The tragedy is no laughing matter, but the dopeness of Hopkins can’t be overlooked. As an African American male I currently have a 7 year old daughter and I don’t know what I would do if she was slain at such a tender age. It’s great hearing about people in a position to help others lending a helping hand. I’m pretty sure the Barnes family will be able to use that $29,000 to relieve a lot of financial stress on top of losing a loved one.
When I see Jazmine Barnes' face, I see my own daughter. I'm pledging my playoff check this week to help her family with funeral costs and to support @shaunking @SherriffED_HCSO @SylvesterTurner in bringing this man to justice. On Saturday, I will be playing in your honor, Jazmine pic.twitter.com/oCRYSgfGO9

Hopefully the killer is brought to justice to give this family the closure it needs to move forward.
