Like his fellow point guard Cane Broome, Justin Jenifer will play his last home game on Sunday against No. 12 Houston. Jenifer has been the perfect example of a program guy, I’ve seen this young man transform his game before my very eyes. A lot of people wanted to close the book on Jenifer after his first two seasons, when it seemed like that would’ve been the easy thing to do, but he stuck his cleats in and dug harder. Now he is one of the most underrated point guards in the nation, he literally has fewer turnovers than games played this season, has almost doubled his scoring this season (from 4.8 to 8.4) and turned into a lights out three point shooter (currently leads conference shooting 43.9%).
To realize how important this senior is to the program just find any tape of head coach Mick Cronin speaking on behalf of the guard. Go out with a bang the ACC tournament and NCAA tournament await you Justin. Hopefully this young man can play somewhere professional after his tenure is over!
#BearcatNation salute the floor general until his run in Clifton is over.
