Cincinnati Bearcats defensive tackle Cortez Broughton was the 28th pick in the seventh round by the Los Angeles Chargers. After a great senior season he earned First Team All-American Athletic Conference.
Per Draft Analysis from ESPN:
6’2″ and 293 pounds
Broughton is an undersized defensive tackle with below-average length and very good top-end speed. He’s a disruptive run defender with some upside as a pass-rusher.
Congrats to Broughton as he was the first Cincinnati player in the 2019 draft! Do your thing in LA, #BearcatNation is rooting for you!
