If you have been following the Bearcats at all the last few weeks everybody and their momma had guard Jaevin Cumberland tied to the Bearcats if Jarron (cousin) decided to come back for his season which he did recently. The 6’3″ Cumberland adds scoring and shooting. Last season he averaged 17.2 points on 40% from three while dishing out 3.5 assists.
Cincinnati will now have two Cumberland’s. Just landed Oakland grad transfer Jaevin Cumberland – Jarron’s cousin.
6-3, 185, SG,
Stats: 17.2 ppg, 3.5 apg, 40% 3-pointers
Scout’s take: “Big time shooter with deep range. Most effective as a catch and shoot guy. Hunts 3's.”— Jeff Goodman (@GoodmanHoops) June 3, 2019
The Cumberland cousins will get to play with each another just like high school and the program will be better this move. I’m personally looking forward to a lineup with both Cumberland’s and Keith Williams. This move sealed up the last scholarship for this year, but all the work isn’t done because with multiple grad transfers and returning seniors the 2020 class will be very important for the Brannen era at UC. Just a few weeks ago most fans were nervous, now it seems most are in a positive mind state which is great.
