Bearcat great Connor Barwin retires from the NFL after 10 year career

Connor Barwin was drafted in the second round of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans, he played with the Texans until 2013 when he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, he played 2017 with the Los Angeles Rams and 2018 with the New York Giants.

Barwin had 112 starts in 142 games played. He had 368 tackles, 56.5 sacks, 44 pass deflections, seven forced fumbles, one interception and one safety. He earned a Pro Bowl and second team All-Pro in 2014.

The linebacker was a two sport star during his college days with the Bearcats. He switched from tight end to defensive end his senior season and had 49 tackles and 11.0 sacks. He played on the men’s basketball team during the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons.

TFON just wants to give Barwin props for his career. Enjoy your retirement from the NFL, maybe we will see you around Nippert Stadium from time to time?
