While the offense didn’t light it up, the defense did its fair share to help Cincinnati stay on the right side of the winning column. They allowed 438 total yards, but stood up to allow the offense a chance to get them back in the game. They also force USF’s kicker to go 1-of-5 in field goal attempts. They uncharacteristically allowed USF to convert 8-of-17 on third down. As a unit they had 6.0 tackles for loss, one sack and one fumble recovery.
