Cole Pelgen went from CCU to accepting PWO to UC

Defensive lineman Cole Pelgen accepted a preferred walk-on offer from the University of Cincinnati.

Playing the 2019 season with Cincinnati Christian University (CCU) the Middletown, Ohio natives season got cut short because the program got cut with three game left in the season, a day later he received an offer from UC to continue his football career.

I asked Cole why UC? His response, “I never got a chance to play with the big boys which I why I chose CCU, but I feel like this is my second chance and an opportunity to prove I belong with with the big boys. I had to take this opportunity.”

Pelgen will be on campus in the winter. From a small college on the west of Cincinnati to Clifton is a nice jump for a defensive lineman that didn’t get much fanfare coming out of high school. TFON looks forward to seeing how your UC pans out.

Congrats to Cole!
