Power Forward – Again a bit hard to define, but I would say Yancy Gates, Titus Rubles, Quadri Moore, Gary Clark, and Tre Scott are the list to choose from, and with that the options become a little trickier than the previous positions. It basically comes down to who you think was more dominant and it what ways? With that said my runner up would be Yancy Gates. Gates was such a dominating big man for UC in such a throwback Danny Fortson type of way. He was a true back to the basket throw it down to him and let him go to work type of guy, and would be the first big true recruit of the Cronin era especially coming from Cincinnati. He is the first person in school history to lead the team in rebounding four consecutive years, thinking about what it takes to do that is incredible and even more incredible than that will always be the punch he landed on Xavier big man Kenny Frease. The top Power Forward however, is Gary Clark. Clark was truly a pure basketball talent. He joined Gates as the only other player to ever lead the team in rebounding for four straight seasons, he finished his career 3rd in rebounds, 5th in blocks, 16th in points, started 137 career games and joined Oscar Robertson and Jack Tywman as the only three players in UC history with 1,400+ points and 1,100+ rebounds, all while finding time to develop a consistent 3 point shot by the time he left as well. For what it’s worth I think Gary Clark is one of the top players in the history of the program not just the decade.

Nice lists, I’d put Justin Jackson with the power forwards, but I’d roll with Ellis as my center because of defense and at times solid offense..at the point it would be a coin toss with Wright and Caupain
