Cincinnati Bearcats senior forward Angel Rizor earned American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for her play last week. Rizor averaged 13.5 points and 9.0 rebounds in two games last week. The Bearcats went 1-1 last week.
Congrats to Angel!
Per GoBearcats:
University of Cincinnati women’s basketball player Angel Rizor has been named to this week’s American Athletic Conference Honor Roll following another strong showing for the Bearcats last week as the senior averaged nearly a double-double in two games.
Rizor hit double-digit scoring in both games played as she averaged 13.5 points and 9.0 rebounds. First, she scored 15 points and pulled down a season-high-tying 13 boards against Tulsa to post her third double-double of the season. Her rebound total against the Golden Hurricane also gave her back-to-back games with 13 rebounds each (13 at SMU). Then, at UCF Saturday, she led the team with 12 points and grabbed five more rebounds, leading the team in points. With those totals, she is 38 points away from joining the program’s 1,000 point club and one rebound shy of breaking into the all-time Top 10 in program history.
Rizor has now been selected to the weekly Honor Roll three times this season. Previously, she earned the awards on back-to-back weeks, being named to the Roll December 9 and December 16.
