Per GoBearcats:
University of Cincinnati redshirt-senior forward Trevon Scott (Townsend, Ga./McIntosh County Academy) was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.
It marks the fourth time this season the league has recognized Scott’s contributions. He was named the AAC Player of the Week last week and tabbed to the weekly honor roll on Jan. 13 and Feb. 10.
Scott averaged 15.0 points and 16.0 points while shooting 44.4 percent (12 of 27) from the floor last week as the Bearcats climbed back into a tie with Houston for first place in The American.
Scott registered his 11th double-double of the season against UCF on Wednesday, posting 22 points and a career-high 21 rebounds with three steals in an 89-87 double-overtime setback to the Knights. It marked the first 20 point-20 rebound performance by a Bearcat since Kenyon Martin tallied 24 points and 23 rebounds in a 75-38 home win over DePaul on Feb. 21, 1998.
Scott tallied eight points and 11 rebounds with two blocks in UC’s 67-64 home win over Wichita State on Sunday.
Over the last five games, Scott is averaging a team-best 18.8 points, 15.2 rebounds and 2.0 steals while shooting 55.2 percent (37 of 67) from the field.
For the season, Scott is averaging 11.1 points, 10.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.7 steals. His 10.4 rebounds average is the highest by a Bearcat since Pat Cummings averaged 11.3 rebounds during the 1978-79 campaign.
In league action, Scott ranks among AAC leaders in six categories: rebounds (first at 11.7), defensive rebounds (first at 8.9), offensive rebounds (third at 2.8), minutes played (third at 35.4), steals (fourth at 2.1) and field goal percentage (fourth at .530) entering the week.
