It was reported by The Athletic’s Justin Williams that freshman guard/forward Jeremiah Davenport will be out for the remainder of the season with a knee injury. Davenport had surgery on the knee he originally hurt in the offseason, but tweaked it recently which led to the surgery.
This is a big blow to the Bearcats already thin bench, but hopefully Davenport comes back stronger because his best days are ahead of him.
The true freshman averaged 1.9 points and 1.0 rebound in 6.8 minutes in 18 games played.
Some bad news after a big win: John Brannen said that Jeremiah Davenport had season-ending knee surgery. Re-injured the same knee he hurt before the season started. #Bearcats

Brannen did not have a time table for Jarron Cumberland's return. Bad news on Jeremiah Davenport. The freshman's season is over due to knee surgery.
