Walk-on guard John Koz will suit up as a Bearcat for the final time in Fifth Third Arena on Saturday when Cincinnati takes on Temple. Koz has spent four years on the roster playing for both Mick Cronin and now John Brannen.
Being a walk-on is always a thankless and under appreciated role, but remains an important one. Koz might not have seen a lot of game action in his time with the Bearcats, appearing in just 22 games over his four year career and scoring four points to go with a handful of rebounds, but what can’t be underestimated is the work he has put in for this program. The four years of practices and helping others on this team get better is invaluable. Thanks for the hard work Koz, and good luck with life after Cincinnati.
