Today junior center Chris Vogt has entered his name in the NBA Draft. If Vogt stays in the draft he would forgo his senior season, but like his teammate Keith Williams he still can come back to play with the Bearcats.
Vogt transferred in from Northern Kentucky last season and took the American Athletic Conference by storm averaging 11.0 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.6 blocks on 64.8% from the field. He was fourth in the country in field goal percentage and third in the AAC in blocks.
If Vogt stays in the draft it would hurt the Bearcats depth in the front court some, but with the recent transfer of Rapolas Ivanauskas that would ease the blow some.
Good luck to Chris, if he stays in, I’m sure Brannen and crew will be looking for another grad transfer to help fill the big man’s shoes.
