Late Friday night the Cincinnati Bearcats received a commitment from 3 star athlete JoJo Johnson. Johnson is the 13th member of the 2021 class. He attends Merrillville High School in Merrillville, IN. Per 247 Sports composite rankings he is the 14th ranked player in the state of Indiana. Also per 247 Sports composite he ranks as the 71st athlete in the nation. Standing 5’11” and weighing 170 pounds, the Indiana native fits what the Bearcats have done in recruiting since the current staff arrived. He chose UC over Ball State, Bowling Green, Miami of Ohio and others.
Per reports it seems Johnson will play cornerback at UC. In high school he plays wide receiver and cornerback. Coach (Marcus) Freeman and Coach (Perry) Eliano were the main recruiters for the Merrillville native, which makes sense for him to be on the defensive side of the ball.
