Bearcats football unites with #BearcatsUnited hashtag

If you haven’t been paying attention to the United States over the last seven days then you must be living under a rock and for those that have been paying attention we’ve seen the latest form of police brutality caught on camera as Minnesota policeman Derek Chauvin and his partners killed George Floyd. Floyd’s wrongful death (murder) has caused many cities to riot and protest.

As a black male, the last week of events have been very tough, but it is something that has been common during my upbringing and people of my skin tone shouldn’t have to feel this way. I personally hope this situation changes the world for the better because navigating through life as a black man can be stressful at times, especially if you know the people that are here to protect and serve, won’t protect and serve you and your family.

The Cincinnati Bearcats football team joined together with the #BearcatsUnited hashtag to express that Black Lives Matter. I’m going to share tweets in this post, I might not get all of them, but I’ll do what I can because a lot of the program has been tweeting heavily.
