This time frame encompasses virtually my entire lifetime as a Bearcat basketball fan, which also boiled down to just the era of Bob Huggins and Mick Cronin coached teams. I started this list thinking it would be easy to pick out a top 5, especially with certainly everyone agreeing with the top 2 no matter what way you spin it. It was only when looking back did I realize it was harder than I thought, Cronin and Huggs both seemed to field consistent and competitive rosters. For reference over the last 30 seasons of basketball UC has had 25 or more wins in 17 of them. 20 wins used to be the gold standard for a great tournament worthy season and UC added a minimum of five wins more than that on 17 different occasions, truly a great run of often under-appreciated success the program has been on. With that said, here is the list of what I thought to be the 5 best UC Bearcats basketball seasons/teams of the last 30 years.
