University of the Cincinnati punter James Smith (Wangaratta, Australia) was named to the Ray’s 4 List for week five, the Augusta Sports Council and Ray Guy Award announced Monday.
Smith punted four times for 187 yards, averaging 46.8 yards per kick in UC’s 28-7 win over USF Saturday at Nippert Stadium. He had a season-long 60-yard kick and pinned the Bulls inside their nine-yard line three times.
Smith, a 2018 finalist for the Ray Guy Award, is on the watch list for the third-straight year and was joined on the weekly list by Lucas Dean (UTSA), Max Duffy (Kentucky) and Issac Power (Baylor). The Ray’s 4 punters are eligible to be named the Punter of the Week for week five games announced on Tuesday, October 6th at 10 a.m. ET.
