Building off back-to-back 20-win campaigns, the University of Cincinnati women’s basketball program released its 2020-21 nonconference schedule Friday.
The five-game slate begins with a pair of home games at Fifth Third Arena featuring visits from North Carolina A&T (Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 6 p.m. ET) in the season opener and Louisville (Saturday, Nov. 28 at 2 p.m.), who was ranked fifth in the Associated Press preseason poll released earlier this week.
After a road game at Florida on Saturday, Dec. 5 (time is TBA), UC plays host to Xavier in the annual Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout on Thursday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m.
The non-league schedule wraps up with a road contest at Central Michigan on Saturday, Dec. 12 (time is TBA).
“We are looking forward to the kids having an opportunity to play this season,” UC head coach Michelle Clark-Heard said. “We are thrilled about the nonconference schedule we have put together. We are really excited to have Louisville, a Top 5 team in the country, to come play in Fifth Third Arena, since Jeff and his staff are like family.”
Clark-Heard served as an assistant at Louisville under current Cardinals head coach Jeff Walz from 2007-2012.
The American Athletic Conference portion of UC’s schedule, including tip times, will be announced at a later date.
