Former Virginia DT Jowon Briggs transfers to Cincinnati

The Cincinnati Bearcats received good news from the transfer portal Wednesday night as defensive tackle Jowon Briggs transferred in from Virginia. Briggs was a former 4 star from Cincinnati, Ohio (Walnut Hills High School), he was ranked the 75th player of the 2019 class. He stands 6 foot 1 inches and weighs 310 pounds.

Briggs should get at least two years of eligibility hopefully three, but with the players graduating at the defensive tackle position hopefully he’s immediately eligible to play.

He played in 20 games in two seasons he tallied 39 tackles, 7.0 tackles for loss. This is another huge get for the Bearcats.

Congrats to Jowon and his family!
