The Familiars –
Filling out the rest of the roster are the Bearcats fans are already familiar with, so I won’t spend a ton of time on this portion. The leaders of the team this year will be Keith Williams and Chris Vogt, both who will start and should have big offensive seasons. Williams will no longer be in the shadow of Jarron Cumberland and can expand his offensive role, while Vogt will now be fully healthy, developed and should be a double digit scorer each game this year. an favorite Mamoudou Diarra will also have an expanded role this year, with Tre Scott now gone and the improvement he showed at the back half of last season, should see his minutes expand.
Last, but not least, the trio of sophomores that had fans excited for the future as freshman last year. Mika Adams-Woods, Jeremiah Davenport and Zach Harvey. Zach Harvey is a guy I would expect to make a huge leap. Last year he showed great flashes on the offensive and defensive end and I believe this will be the season it starts to click and he sustains those moments over longer and longer stretches. Adams-Woods, I assume will be the starter at the shooting guard position, as Brannen and the staff really loved the way he worked off ball last year and I would expect continued improvements from him. Davenport is the guy who will carry the hometown hero banner now that Cumberland is gone, the Moeller product battled injuries last year, but was an undeniable spark when he was able to play. I see Davenport as the Justin Jackson type of energy guy who is always going to give you everything he has.
