The Bearcats fell to ranked No. 20 USF, 73-61 today at home. They had a chance to upset a Top 25 at home.
The Bearcats had a decent run against the Bulls due to senior IImar’I Thomas continuing her hot streak as she finished with another 30 point game. She went 13-of-20 from the field and finished with 32 points. Thomas logged all 40 minutes in this game. Bearcats also had a good productive day from Arame Niang as she shot 6-of-7 from the field finishing with 13 points. Outside of those two the offense struggled. Niang and Thomas combined for 44 of the 61 Bearcats points. The Bearcats seemed to be relying on their two seniors for most the offense as it showed today. Unfortunately they carried a heavy load, but the fell short.
The Bearcats will travel to Dallas to face SMU on December 30th at 2 pm and look to get on track for their first conference win of the season.
