Per GoBearcats:
The University of Cincinnati women’s basketball game at SMU scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 30, has been canceled following SMU’s decision Tuesday to not play the remainder of its 2020-21 season due to health and safety concerns surrounding the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Cincinnati (1-5, 0-2 American) will next play on Saturday, Jan. 2, at Wichita State (3-2, 0-0). Tipoff is set for 3 p.m. ET on ESPN+. The Shockers tip off their conference schedule Wednesday at Houston.
Wednesday’s scheduled contest with SMU (0-6, 0-2 AAC) becomes the fourth UC women’s game this season affected by COVID-19 related issues. The Bearcats also had a home game with nationally-ranked Louisville (Nov. 28) canceled while matchups vs. Xavier (Dec. 10) and at Houston (Dec. 16) were postponed.
