It was announced today that Cincinnati’s game against Wichita State on Wednesday has been postponed. Their game against USF was already postponed due to USF being hit with the covid bug. Cincinnati will now be on the shelf for six games straight.
Hopefully all the young men involved are able to bounce back soon as we can see them on the court in February.
The athletic department released a statement:
The University of Cincinnati men’s basketball team’s upcoming game on Wednesday, Jan. 27 against Wichita State has been postponed due to concerns over player availability, the American Athletic Conference announced Monday.
The Bearcats game at USF on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2020 was postponed last Friday as a result of contact tracing and player availability questions in the Bulls program.
The UC men’s basketball program will undertake limited team activities with a goal of returning to the court soon. The Bearcats are currently scheduled to play Temple on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2020 at 4 p.m. ET inside Fifth Third Arena.
The health and safety of student-athletes, coaches and staff remains the department’s primary focus and we continue to salute the work of our athletics medical staff.
