So many effects for this team during this long stretch of no games and I think the most important one is not getting enough reps in and that stems from practices which you can’t have because of the virus. You want as many reps as possible especially the younger and newcomers on the team to get right it’s just been tough for this team with untimely transfers and then this currently going on. I know it’s a pain on the players on the team not getting a chance to play against competition, they knew going into this unprecedented season that this likely could happen and lots of adjusting was going to come out of it.
I view Twitter a lot and Bearcats fans are vociferous when it comes to their teams aka basketball and football. This season hasn’t been kind to us, but to already give up on John Brannen and this is year two! I get it we aren’t used to losing especially during conference play and not playing physical Bearcats tradition basketball which is to rebound and defend, but that doesn’t mean you give up on the coach and team with small sample size of 10 games.
Now we are hoping that team will be able to get back on the floor on next Thursday night (February 4th) against the Temple Owls at 7 pm. The game was originally a home game for the Bearcats, but now it’s in Philadelphia. Get through this time and hopefully we are able to watch more games in the new month so we can get a large sample of this team moving forward cause right now we should watch for team and player development and not March Madness.
