University of Cincinnati men’s basketball sophomore guard Jeremiah Davenport was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.
Davenport helped the Bearcats win two of three games this past week, averaging 16.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists while shooting 56.3 percent (18 of 32) from the field and 50 percent (9 of 18) from 3-point range.
The Cincinnati native scored a game-high 27 points on 10-of-16 shooting with four threes and five rebounds against Tulane on Friday. He posted 14 points, four triples and seven rebounds to start the week at Tulsa on Wednesday.
Davenport is averaging a team-best 15.3 points with 11 3-pointers over the last four games. For the season, he ranks second on the team, averaging 11.0 points to go with 4.7 rebounds. He’s shooting 45.3 percent (72 of 159) from the floor with a team-best 33 3-pointers.
Davenport ranks among the league leaders in 3-pointers made (ninth at 1.8), field goal percentage (14th at .453) and scoring (18th at 11.0).
Four other Bearcats have earned AAC Weekly Honor Roll accolades this season: David DeJulius (Dec. 14 and Feb. 8), Keith Williams (Dec. 28), Zach Harvey (Jan. 11) and Mika Adams-Woods (Feb. 15).
