The Bearcats basketball team is on cruise control now as the Bearcats on Friday afternoon picked up a huge transfer in Jarrett Hensley. Hensley comes over from UNCG with coach Wes Miller and new Bearcat transfer Hayden Koval. Coach Miller and staff have been busy since being hired and have gotten some big time grabs since joining the Bearcats. Coach Miller has now recruited Mike Saunders, Jr. and Mason Madsen to stay on top of picking up his third transfer this week.
Hensley was originally rated a four star prospect when he committed to UNCG and will loom to take on a huge role here at Cincinnati. Hensley is 6’8″ and comes in at 205 pounds. He will be a huge grab at the power forward position. Hensley averaged 1.8 points in 29 games as a freshman(one start) and was able to score a career-high 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the field against Chattanooga on January 23. He will have at least three seasons of eligibility left.
The Bearcats now have three scholarships remaining and will be looking to add even more talent in a very impressive first couple weeks to Wes Miller’s Bearcat career. Congratulations to Jarrett and his family and we look forward to watching you ball out this year!
