Mississippi State transfer big man Abdul Ado is coming to Cincinnati

The Wes Miller era is still off to a hot start as tonight he landed a commitment from former four star Mississippi State forward/ center Abdul Ado. Ado is a six-foot-eleven center who played his last four seasons at Mississippi State where he played a big role for the Bulldogs. In 2020-21 Ado averaged 5.9 points, 6.9 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, 0.7 assists per game while shooting 55.4% from the field. He averaged 1.9 blocks per game during his four year career where he played 131 games. This is a massive grab for Miller and his staff as Ado is an athletic big with the ability to score and protect the rim. He was 3rd in the SEC in blocks last season which plays a big role for the Bearcats after losing Tari Eason and Chris Vogt, the Bearcats were looking to add a big and they got their guy with Abdul Ado. Ado was recruited very hard by former Georgia and new Bearcat assistant coach Chad Dollar before signing with Mississippi State so Doller was quick to jump on his opportunity to land Ado when he entered the transfer portal.

Coming out of high school he held offers from Auburn, Georgia, Oregon, Ohio State, Louisville, LSU, Memphis, Penn State, Tennessee, UNLV, Vanderbilt and Arizona State. The big man will fit perfectly with what Miller and staff have built so far in the last month since becoming head coach for the Bearcats. This is a massive grab for Miller and his staff and #BearcatNation has to be excited for what is being built in Clifton.
