TFON speaks with Miamisburg HS(OH) TE Jackson McGohan after Midnight Madness

NM- How was it being back able to get on campus for the first time in over a year now that the dead period is lifted?

JM- It was surreal. It was an incredible experience and opportunity to be able to be on campus and participate in Midnight Madness. It was my favorite football event I have ever done in my whole life. The coaches got us fired up and they were incredibly nice. Overall it was nothing but a great experience, all I can say about Midnight Madness was great.

NM- Awesome that’s great to hear. Was this your first time ever on campus of Cincinnati? If so, what stood out to you the most outside of being able to be back on campus for visits and the opportunity to participate in Midnight Madness?

JM- Yes, it was my first time ever being on campus at Cincinnati. What stood out to me the most was how welcoming everyone was, they made me feel like Cincinnati is home. They really showed us what being a Bearcat is all about!

NM- Awesome, that is amazing to hear. Once you got on campus, were you able to talk to any current Bearcats at all? Knowing you are a tight end and all the success that has come out of the University of Cincinnati in recent years, talk about what it was like to get under the wings of the coaches who have developed some of the best tight ends in college football in recent years?

JM- I didn’t get to talk to any current players before Midnight Madness. I was working with coach Denbrock at the tight end position and that was an incredible experience especially knowing the guys he has coached in the past, it was a just such a surreal experience.

NM- Awesome, coach Denbrock is a fantastic coach and an even better person. I see you had two of your teammates in Christian Davis, and A.J. Salley there with you. How awesome was it to have your two brothers by your side to experience Midnight Madness with you?

JM- It was awesome to compete with them. We got to show everyone what we are made of!

NM- Awesome, My last question for you, seeing that camp kicks back off next week, do you plan to participate in camp on campus in the near future? If so, what are you looking forward to the most, if planning to attend?

JM- Yes sir, I will be back on June 15th to participate in camp, as well as an unofficial visit!
