The past few weeks have been very busy for the Bearcats now that the recruiting dead period has been lifted. Coach Fickell and his staff have made it clear they want to hit the ground running now that they can have recruits back on campus for camps and visits from players. This past week I was able to talk to Ohio native Javien Brownlee. Brownlee is a 5-foot-10, 170 pound wide receiver/defensive back. Brownlee attends Northmont High School in Clayton, Ohio where he currently is a junior class of 2023. Brownlee has played alongside one of the top wide receivers in the state of Ohio the past two seasons with Markus Allen on the outside. Allen was once a top target for the Bearcats before committing to Michigan where he decommitted shortly after and now has landed at Wisconsin University.
I was able to talk to Javien Brownlee this past week after he attended camp here at the University of Cincinnati, where he received his official offer from the Bearcats coaching staff. Here is what he had to say about his visit and experience at Cincinnati.
After an unofficial visit and a great day at camp I am extremely blessed and honored to receive my 1st D1 offer from the University of Cincinnati #GoBearcats @Im_MikeB @CoachFick pic.twitter.com/UTGtYGYmlI
