NM- Congratulations on your offer to Cincinnati. My first question to you is, I see you’re an offensive lineman, are you being recruited to play just one position on the line or all over the place up front at the next level whether it’s guard, tackle, center, etc?
PC- At the next level, I am really being recruited to play any position my body can grow into really. I have played every position on the offensive line in high school and I’m currently playing offensive tackle. Coaches love my length and my athleticism so tackle will defiantly be an option, but depending how I grow, every position could be in the question to play at the next level.
NM- Awesome, a offensive tackle with great versatility and athleticism is what every quarterback loves. What coaches have you been in conatct with from the University of Cincinnati?
PC- I met offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock at camp last week and we have stayed in contact ever since.
NM- Coach Denbrock is a fantastic human. You mentioned camp, was this the first time on campus for camp?
PC- Yes sir, I was able to attend Cincinnati’s camp last week and visit the campus. I also had a meeting with coach Crook, as well as coach Denbrock about a week ago.
NM- Talk about your visit if you dont mind? How did it feel to be back on campus after such a long dead period due to the pandemic? How was your visit? Was there anything that stood out to you about campus?
PC- The visit went great. I was able to walk around campus and see what Cincinnati is all about. I thing the biggest thing for me that stood out the most was the facilities, The brand new locker rooms the football team is upgrading was one big thing that stood out to me.
NM- Those new locker rooms will look sweet when they are finished. What are some of your offseason plans ahead of your senior season? What are you doing to prepare yourself for the next level?
PC- Training wise I train at Trench Academy here in Tampa Bay, Florida and that is where I focus almost all of my attention to when it comes to preparing for the next level of my playing career.
NM- I love your mindset there when it comes to training, always wanting to get better. What comes to your mind when you think of Cincinnati’s Football Program especially after the last few seasons they have had?
PC- The main thing that comes to my mind is how good of a program they are building, with being a Top 10 team in the nation, but also they great coaching staff they have surrounding them.
NM- I love it, Cincinnati has started to gain a lot of attention the last few years based on their success. Let’s talk about your game a little now. How would you describe your game? What kind of player are coaches going to get out of you at the next level? What should they expect?
PC- The biggest thing about my game is my athleticism, I am able to block anyone on the field, I am also very explosive both in my hips and at the point of attack. That’s where I feel like I succeed the most because I am using all my length and size to my advantage.
NM- That is perfect for an offensive lineman especially with your athleticism and being able to play anywhere on the offensive line like you mentioned. What are some of your goals ahead of your upcoming senior season?
PC- The main goal for this season is to really put good quality film out there and to just make a name of myself.
NM- Who are some offensive tackles you model your game after? Could be former or current players.
PC- I would say someone like Penei Sewell just because the way he uses his athleticism all over the field.
NM- That is a great person to model your game after especially with all the success he had at Oregon the last few years. I wish the Bengals would have snatched him to help our offensive line! Do you have anymore camps you plan to attend this summer to showcase your skills? If so, what camps are you looking forward to attending coming up before you make your decision to commit to a university to play at the next level?
PC- I actually do not plan do to any more visits or camps this summer.
NM- Awesome, with that being said do you have a timetable for your commitment as of yet? I know having a year off of not being able to attend camps or get on campus has made everything more difficult for you.
PC- Yes sir, the plan for me as of right now is to commit to a university before the season if not shortly after.
NM- Awesome man! Well, I appreciate you for taking your time to sit down and answer a few questions for me. I can’t wait to follow you along your journey, us here at The Front Office News wish you nothing but the best along your journey.
