Today the Bearcats junior outside hitter Madison Waters joined fellow teammates Hannah Bolinger and Maria Mallon when she partnered with Barstool Athletics as a part of the NIL bill in college athletics.
Madison Waters is currently a junior on the Bearcats volleyball team from McKinney, Texas where she is coming off a great 2021 season, where she appeared in all 13 matches for the Bearcats, playing in 46 sets this past season. Waters recorded 124.5 points for the Bearcats in 2021, where she averaged 2.71 points per set. Madison played a big role for the Bearcats team this past season as she stepped in when people were out at the beginning of the season and took full advantage of her opportunity. In her first career start on January 29th when the Bearcats traveled to to Illinois to take on Illinois State University Waters recorded a double-double for the Bearcats where she recorded 19 kills and 15 digs in a 3 set to 0 victory. The very next day Waters recorded 11 kills for the Bearcats in a 0-3 loss versus Illinois State University. Waters had another solid outing when the Bearcats beat cross town rival Xavier on February 5th when she recorded 11 kills and nine digs. Waters had her best performances of the season when the Bearcats traveled to Tampa Bay, Florida to take on the USF Bulls where she recorded back to back double-doubles where on March 4th she recorded 16 kills and 16 digs. Waters bounced right back on March 5th to record 12 kills and 16 digs. Waters helped propel the Bearcats too back to back 5 set victories for the Bearcats to keep them within reach of the AAC Championship Tournament.
Madison Waters will be looking to continue her success this fall for a big junior season for the Bearcats volleyball team. We would like to congratulate her for joining teammates Maria Mallon and Hannah Bolinger for becoming Barstool Athletes.
