JS: How was it to be offered by UC?
ET: It felt great to get offered by one of my home teams. I really had a great camp experience and it was fun to get a lot of one on one time with coach (offensive line) Crook. I like him and UC has a great campus, plus it is my moms alma mater.
JS: Which coaches have you been in contact with?
ET: I was in contact with coach Crook mainly, he was the one who offered me. He had me stay after camp and met my family.
JS: How did you feel you did at the UC camp in June?
ET: I felt I was one of the top guys, there was a lot of good players, I was happy to compete. After Best of the Midwest and a lot of the bigger camps I got in a rhythm with the bigger workouts. The camps were an extension of that with deeper coaching, I feel confident in these situations now and I think that will translate into this season and college.
JS: Having six offers all this summer how does it feel to see you hard work paying off?
ET: To see I got six offers this summer shows me that if I keep working I’ll get to where I want to be. The door is definitely open with the wait for the first being the toughest, but then I got three in one camp, so teams are taking notice. Being in workouts with Padilla and Wagner (Wayne teammates) really pushed me, seeing their success made me want it more.
JS: How would you describe your game?
ET: I would describe my game as physical and fast. I take pride in dominating the line of scrimmage, I credit my wrestling background and banging on the mat with Padilla in bringing out the nasty.
JS: Being a young man that can play all inside positions, what are you working on before the season?
ET: I’m just working on getting stronger and faster so I can become one of the top interior lineman. I have played all five spots in high school so I pride myself on being versatile. I have worked with private coaches for technique (Blockers OLine), speed (BB Landers) and a private weight lifting coach (Grissom). I’m serious about my craft.
JS: Do you have a timetable on when you want to commit?
ET: Not really, enjoying the experience right now. This summer has been a lot of work, but fun and exciting, more to come. I have to definitely build relationships and get to know schools.
JS: Do you have any official visits lined up?
ET: I do not have any officials lined up at the moment.
