The American Athletic Conference reigning Offensive Player of the Year Desmond Ridder has been named to the Maxwell Award Watch List. Ridder had an amazing junior season posting a stat line of 2,296 yards with 19 touchdowns and six interceptions with a 66.2% completion percentage. He also ran for 592 yards and 12 touchdowns.

If, Ridder has the year most are expecting he will have a strong chance at being a finalist for this award.
