Are the Bearcats in a position of power with possible realignment looming?

4. The AAC is proactive and grabs programs from the Big 12-

The AAC as a whole is on the come up, so if they can get as many of the remaining eight Big 12 programs that would be a huge move. They could renegotiate their TV deals with ESPN and CBS Sports and make them a more lucrative conference. Imagine the AAC with Oklahoma State, Kansas, Kansas State, Baylor, Texas Tech, TCU, Iowa State and West Virginia. This all depends on if the Big 12 folds, but reports are saving that West Virginia may go to the ACC, Iowa State to the Big 10, TCU to the Pac 12, but everyone else is link to the AAC.

3. The Big 12 stays alive and they come get UC-

Even with Texas and Oklahoma out the picture, the conference still has good programs, but the key for them would be to be proactive get at least four programs possibly more. If the Big 12 grabs Cincinnati, Houston, UCF, Memphis, BYU and either SMU or Boise State they would be just as good of a conference or even better. Texas hasn’t be a powerhouse on the football side since Vince Young or Colt McCoy, they’ve been good on the basketball side, but Oklahoma has been holding down the conference as of late so that would be a huge loss, but these programs I just mentioned will bring eyes to the Big 12.
