The American Athletic Conference has unveiled the University of Cincinnati’s men’s basketball league opponents for the 2021-22 season.
Cincinnati has a total of 18 league games, facing East Carolina, Houston, Memphis, South Florida, SMU, Temple, Tulsa and Wichita State twice – at Fifth Third Arena and on the road – while playing Tulane at home and UCF in Orlando. Houston played in the 2021 NCAA Final Four while Memphis won the postseason National Invitation Tournament.
Game dates, times and television opportunities will be announced at a later date.
UC begins a new era under the direction of Head Coach Wes Miller. The Bearcats return seven letterwinners to go with seven newcomers, including three of its top four scorers in Jeremiah Davenport (11.7 ppg), David DeJulius (9.1) and Mika Adams-Woods (8.6). Cincinnati has played in the last four AAC Tournament Championship games and holds a league-best 107-33 (.764) record in league play since 2013-14.
