Cincinnati comes in ranked No. 10 in the USA Today Preseason Poll which is the programs highest ranking in the preseason in their history.

Cincinnati is the highest G5 team currently, no other AAC team is ranked in the Top 25, but UL Lafayette is ranked No. 23 and Coastal Carolina is ranked No. 24. Cincinnati’s two big P5 non-conference opponents Notre Dame and Indiana are ranked No. 7 and No. 17 respectively.
You can argue Cincinnati could be higher, but with Indiana and Notre Dame on the schedule it gives the Bearcats a good chance to be around in the College Football Playoff picture.
