The Bearcats now having a four game win streak under their belt, look to continue that momentum as they look to extend their win streak this week when they kick off conference play with matchups versus USF and UCF this week. The Bearcats are coming off a big week as Maria Mallon was named AAC Offensive Player of the Week, As well as libero Payton Frederick was named to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll with her play on defense this past week.
The (5-3) Bearcats look to kick off conference play with two wins this week and look to make an early statement in the American Athletic Conference standings. The Bearcats will look to take down a very talented UCF team in the 2nd game this week after they take on USF.
The Golden Knights sit (7-5) on the season, but are also on a three game winning streak behind reigning AAC Player of the Year, outside hitter McKenna Melville. The senior outside is the heart and soul of the Golden Knights and we saw that in the spring season as well as she was the leader on the court as she was named a Cosida 2nd team All-American selection a season ago.
The Bearcats will look to continue the hot start and look to spoil the reigning AAC Champions hopes of repeating this weekend. The Bearcats will need to continue the play from the last two weeks, as they have been off to a great start on all aspects of the game. The Bearcats know the Golden Knights are a very talented team that they’ll have to be on their “A” game as conference play kicks off this Thursday.
The Bearcats travel to Tampa Bay this Thursday to take on USF, before traveling to Orlando shortly after to take on UCF Sunday in the opening week of conference play. Not only are the Bearcats looking to make it a five match win streak come Thursday, they have an opportunity to bounce back after a hot start to jump out and get two big wins within two days in AAC conference play.
The Bearcats look to make it five matches in a row when they take on USF this Thursday at 7:00 pm. They will travel to Orlando and have a quick turn around as they take on UCF this Sunday at 1 pm. A very big week for the Bearcats Volleyball program as they look to make a statement early on within the AAC.
