JS: So, let’s jump into it to start it off tell me about your visit, how was it for you and what all did you get to do?
JT: I had amazing time at UC. Never felt anything better so far in my recruiting process. I just got a tour around the football facility and a few pics in the Bearcat uniform.
JS: Have you talked to any of the coaching staff at UC yet and if so how has the relationship been so far?
JT: Only met Max Stienecker (recruiting) in person and only a few words to coach Denbrock over text. I like and respect Steinecker a lot.
JS: How was this last year for you with covid and no fans in the stands? I know it was hard on athletes and staff. If you could tell me just how the year was for you and how you stayed focused with everything going on?
JT: It was my sophomore year so it was my first time on varsity so I never felt the experience of Friday night lights until this year (junior year). But, I have to give it up to the seniors and coaches being the leaders and motivation to help me and work everyday at practice with COVID last year. Without them I wouldn’t be here in process of recruitment.
JS: What was it like seeing a full college crowd few weeks ago during the UC game and hearing the cheers of the fans?
JT: The best feeling in the world for a athlete. I would hopefully experience that feeling and emotion one day. A full crowd for a Murray State game shows the loyalty and love UC fans has for the team. I just love that about teams and fans together.
JS: How would you describe your game and what kind of player you are in the clubhouse?
JT: I’m a big guy that will block for my teammates and physical trying to beat the man in front of me. Make catches trying to move through people. But in the clubhouse I’m mostly a chill person that easy get along with everyone and positivity spreader.
JS: Why did you want to play football?
JT: I been playing this sport since I was 4 years old. Now, it’s my passion and dream to play football at the highest level at the best of my abilities.
JS: What are your goals for the upcoming season and the future?
JT: Just keep developing, which is the my main goal to make it into the next step in my life. My future seems bright so far just gotta keep pushing to make it there.
JS: What do you want to work on this upcoming season to improve your game before you enter your senior year?
JT: Just my speed and my routes. I have the strength and stamina. I just have to balance it all out by working on my weakness.
