Previewing the Bearcats next opponent: UCF Knights

Defense

This unit gives up an average of 27.4 points per game, 365.8 total yards. That breaks down at 221.0 yards per game passing and 144.8 yards per game rushing. Which seems like it will lead to a very balanced Bearcats attack.

It was announced earlier in the week that defensive tackle Kalia Davis is out for the season. That will turn more attention to Auburn transfer Big Kat Bryant on the defensive line. Bryant has 20 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and a sack. Bryson Armstrong is their leading tackler with 45, he is another transfer from Kennesaw State (linebacker). On the back end safety Quadric Bullard is their second leading tackler with 35 on the season, he also has two forced fumbles.

This Week 6 matchup will be very exciting with UC being a top-ranked school in the nation, which is currently ranked No. 3 in AP Polls and is led by Heisman Trophy candidate in Desmond Ridder. UC is in the driver’s seat to keep their undefeated season alive. ESPN matchup predictor has UC chances of winning against UCF at 87.9%. The game will be exciting, premiering on ABC this Saturday on October 16, at @12pm. Tune in.
