In the first College Football Playoff show Cincinnati came in at No. 6 even though they are No. 2 in the AP and Coaches Polls. With wins over Indiana and No. 9 Notre Dame the Bearcats are on the outside looking in. Notre Dame is No. 10, but Houston isn’t ranked, but No. 20/19 in the AP and Coaches, as well as SMU being not being ranked, but No. 23/24 in the AP and Coaches.
The College Football Playoff laid the smack down on the Bearcats early moving the goal posts immediately. I guess at least they didn’t throw a rock in hide their hand.
