Daryl Huber, tight end (1985-1988)
On the current teams run:
“It is hard to put into words, not only I’m I an alumni, some might not know this, but my son is No. 2 Wilson Huber also plays for the team currently. To be apart of this is amazing, I could’ve ever imagined the program being where it is at today.”
Thoughts on his son playing well:
“As a parent the sense of pride you feel when your child does anything positive is great, but for him to be able to do it on this kind of stage and to be apart of something very special.”
Looking back at his time as a Bearcat:
“During my time it was pretty good to have 10,000 fans in the stadium, Nippert Stadium was being condemned, we had a brutal schedule playing Penn State, Alabama, Miami of Florida, Auburn, exc. The facilities were a mess, but the brotherhood was great I’d do it all again. To see where this program is amazing. Even as bad as the state of the program was we had some good players on our teams just look at the Ring of Honor, Danny McCloing and Reggie Taylor were on those teams. If somebody would’ve told me we would be No. 3 in the Nation and would have a road win against Notre Dame at that point time I wouldn’t have believed it (subtle laugh).”
Greg Moore, running back (2004-2007)
On the current teams run:
“It is really cool. It’s bringing the brotherhood closer and unifying all era’s of Bearcats football. I thank them so much for what they are doing. The steps they are taking is bigger than football”
Looking back at his time as a Bearcat:
“To be honest with you I always thought we had the talent to reach these heights. The difference between this group and the groups of the past is that they have a coach that believed in Bearcat football and loves the group enough to stay. Coach Pick’ is a down to earth guy that knows it’s not always greener on the other side. So to answer the question. Yes, I knew we could get there. I always told my family and friends we ever get a coach to stay in Cincinnati we will be dangerous.”
