DeJulius and Davenport lead Bearcats past Tulsa, 90-69

The Cincinnati Bearcats game into the game 13-5 overall and 3-2 in the AAC on a two game winning streak. They invited the Tulsa Golden Hurricane in to Fifth Third Arena on a cold Thursday evening. Would they be able to push their streak to three in a row?

Note: Forward Viktor Lakhin sat out his second game in a row.

This game was about the superb play of Jeremiah Davenport and David DeJuilus they started the game locked in and it led to the Bearcats dominating for 40 minutes. Davenport finished with a game high 24 points on 7-of-14 from the floor, hitting seven 3’s. DeJulius had 20 points on 6-of-13 from the floor, hitting four 3’s. Mika Adams-Woods finished with 14 points, Mike Saunders finished with 11 points and Mason Madsen had 14 points on 5-of-6 from the field, hitting four 3’s.

It was a very smooth night for the Bearcats minus the knee injury suffered by John Newman, Wes Miller stated he will know more about the injury within the next 24 hours, hopefully won’t be a major set back for Newman. Madsen and Hensley did well taking the minutes left available from Newman early in the second half.

With the 90-69 win the Bearcats are now 14-5 overall and 4-2 in the AAC. They won’t play until Tuesday at Temple. Cincinnati will look to push their winning streak to four in a row.
