Central Catholic HS (PA) WR Peter Gonzalez talks UC offer and visit

JS: UC recently offered, how exciting was that for you?

PG: It was super exciting. I wasn’t expecting it honestly I just wanted to check out the school and program. When I sat with coach and he gave me the news I was beyond excited.

JS: How was your visit?

PG: The visit was great, definitely answered a lot of the questions I had about the program. I loved the atmosphere they had in meetings and practice. I was very impressed with Cincinnati as a whole.

JS: Being offered recently and visiting the next day was that the plan or just luck of the draw?

PG: I was actually offered during the visit. It was super cool they did that in person for me.

JS: What makes a guy like Mike Brown so relatable?

PG: I think his journey though his playing career resonates with players. He fought for all his opportunities and has a dive to him that’s contagious. He also knows what he’s talking about, I got to see that first hand in the wide receiver room.

JS: How would you describe your game?

PG: I’m a big, physical dominate receiver. My size definitely makes me a tough matchup, but I also have speed and a lot of people don’t expect that. I think it is hard to find a guy who can cover me alone.

JS: Do you currently have a commitment date in mind?

PG: Not as of right now. I’m just enjoying the process for the time being. It’s all still kind of surreal right now, so I’m just going to see where this road takes me.

JS: Do you plan on visiting again in the near future?

PG: I’d definitely love to get back on campus. I’m not sure how soon I can get back, but I want to get back at least one more time before the season starts.
